What we collect

Utilium is designed to be private by default. All tools run entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Files you upload or text you paste are never sent to our servers because we do not operate any processing server.

We store two small items in your browser's localStorage:

  • Theme preference (dark or light) so your choice persists across visits.
  • Recently used tools (up to 5 tool IDs) to power the "recently used" section in search.

You can clear both at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this domain.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We display advertisements served by Google AdSense to fund the site. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

For more information on how Google uses data when you use our site, see How Google uses data from sites that use Google services.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics (such as Plausible or a self-hosted solution) to understand aggregate traffic. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.

Third-party libraries

Some tools load JavaScript libraries from CDNs (e.g., PDF.js, JSZip). These requests go directly to the CDN provider's servers and are subject to their own privacy policies. No file contents are ever sent to these CDNs.

Children's privacy

Utilium is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. The date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
